About this extension
Google Registry's extension for apps, open to everyone since 2018. Like .dev, the whole extension is HSTS-preloaded, so HTTPS is mandatory. Registration data comes from Google's RDAP server.

What a .app WHOIS record shows
The result page shows the registry's RDAP record: registrar and IANA id, abuse contact, dates, explained EPP status codes, nameservers and DNSSEC. Since ICANN retired the classic WHOIS requirement at the start of 2025, RDAP is the authoritative source for .app; an individual registrant's personal details are usually redacted.
Next to the registration data you get live DNS, SPF/DMARC, the TLS certificate, the HTTPS response and the abuse
history of the hosting addresses on ip-db.com. Type just a name
(e.g. example) and .app is added; the same data is available from the JSON API.
